Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The muscles of the vertebral column originate and insert into the vertebrae. The largest muscle in the vertebral column is the erector spinae muscle group, which is made up of nine muscles. These muscles are arranged along each side of the vertebral column and are present in three groups. These groups are iliocostalis muscle, middle longissimus muscle, and medial spinalis muscle.
