Summary Introduction

To draw: The origin and insertion of the vastus lateralis muscle on the contralateral side of the skeleton and to indicate the origin and insertion with an ‘O’ and an ‘I’, respectively, of that muscle.

Introduction: The quadriceps muscles are responsible for the leg extension at the knee. They consist of four major muscles, namely, the vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius, and rectus femoris. The quadriceps group’s largest and the powerful part is the vastus lateralis muscle.
