Introduction:
The social and psychological development of children and infants involve development of relationships, personality, and sense of being female or male. All these processes start in infancy and continue in many respects till adulthood. Attachment is an emotional bond which occurs between an infant and a mother or a primary care. It is an essential development in the case of emotional and social life of the infant that develops in the first 6 months of their life and showing up in different ways in the second 6 months.
Ainsworth devised a design for the measurement of attachments of an infant to the mother or caregiver, is termed as “strange situation”. This technique determined four types of attachment styles: secure, avoidant, ambivalent, and disorganized-disoriented.
