Every species contains a particular number of chromosomes, for example, human contains 46 chromosomes. Each chromosome contains a specific structure and arrangement of genes with a precise sequence. The chromosomal abnormality is known as any changes in the number or structure of the chromosome. Nearly 1,240 genes are located on sex chromosomes. The sex-linked genes on the X and Y chromosomes are known as X-linked and Y-linked, respectively.
