Summary Introduction

Light energy is a type of energy that is used in the photosynthesis. Plants convert light energy into the chemical energy. Photosynthesis occurs in chloroplasts. Chloroplasts capture light from the sun and then convert the light energy to the chemical energy. Most photosynthetic organisms such as autotrophs use light energy for the synthesis of sugars and also other organic compounds and these compounds serve as fuel for the cellular respiration.
