Chapter 8, Problem 68E
Program Plan Intro

Parameter: Parameters (also called formal parameter) are the variables found in the function definition. These are the variables given as parameters while defining a function.

Argument: Argument (also called actual parameter) is the actual input given at function call. These are the variables in a function call to which user gives the actual input.

Example:

//Function definition

int funName(int n1, int n2)

{

//statements

}

//Main function

int main()

{

    //Calling of the function

    funName(a, b);

}

Here, “n1”, “n2” are the parameters and “a”, “b” are the arguments.
