Summary Introduction

Summary:

Andy, a 55 year old, 85 kg roofer, is shingling the steeply pitched roof of a new house when he loses his footing and slides down the roof and over the edge, feet first. He braces himself for the fall, and when he hits the ground, he cries out and doubles up in excruciating pain. Emergency medical technicians are called to the scene and they tell him that he has broken his hips.
