Calculation:

Then, the angular acceleration of the hoop can be written as,

  α=τnetI=Frsin90°mr2=Fmr

Using given values in above,

  α=Fmr=255×2=2.5rad/s2

Conclusion:

Thus, the angular acceleration of the hoop is 2.5rad/s2 .
