Venous return refers to the rate of the flow of the blood back into the heart. This normally limits the output of the cardiac cycle. There are many mechanisms by which the venous blood returns to the heart and one of the example can be respiratory pump mechanism. It is basically responsible for the return of the venous blood into the heart.
