Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Genetic engineering is the technique of digestion of genomic $\text{DNA}$ with restriction enzymes. The digestion causes the production of blunt ends or sticky ends according to the type of enzyme used for digestion. These ends are then ligated in plasmid vectors at the multiple cloning sites after digestion with the same enzymes. The enzyme used for ligation of $\text{DNA}$ is called as $\text{DNA}$ ligase.
