Case Summary: There are many workers in US who faced with 60-70 or 80-hour weeks while some others who are unemployed have too much time on their hands. Those who unemployed and have time to spare on vacation does not have a good financial support to take a vacation while those who are employed and who good financial means to take a vacation does not have enough time to spend on a vacation.
Interpretation: Many unemployed are spending 2 hours per day looking for suitable jobs according to some research. How this sense of unemployment would impact the motivation level on work and on the other hand how one would be spending his or her days if he or she is unemployed.
Adequate Information: The average U.S. worker get 2.6 weeks of vacation a year, but only 43% take their complete vacation time. The reasons why US employees do not take their vacation time may vary from reason of job insecurity to heavy work pressure.
