Introduction:
Babies have more bones than adults, as they grow some of the bone fuses to form one bone. This is because babies have more cartilage than bone. Newborn babies have around 305 bones, whereas adulthood has 206 bones. As a baby grows up, most of the cartilage turns into a bone by the process called ossification.
