Skeletal system plays a major function in blood formation by red bone marrow, which helps to produce blood cells of the immune system. This bone marrow is a gelatinous, soft tissue with a hollow structure in the inner part of the body. It is located at the axial skeleton with vascular enriched blood vessels and capillaries.
