Introduction: Ears are the chief organs of hearing in most mammals. The ability to hear is due to auditory perception, which denotes the ability to perceive sounds by detecting the change in pressure of the surrounding medium in the ear. The cochlea of the inner ear plays a vital role in auditory perception.
