Concept introduction:
Beer’s law – The beer’s law states that the amount of light absorbed by a solution is directly proportional to its concentration. A more concentrated solution absorbs more amount of light. This relation is used to determine the concentration of a chemical species in a solution. This is mainly applicable in the UV-Visible spectroscopy. However, at high concentrations, the deviations from the law are observed.
