Introduction:
The process of electron transfer phosphorylation occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane. This process results in the formation of ATP. Mitochondria is present in eukaryotes but is absent in prokaryotes. The membranes in mitochondria serve the purpose where electron transfer phosphorylation occurs. The bacteria (prokaryote) also synthesize ATP by electron transfer phosphorylation, but they do not have mitochondria.
