Chapter 7, Problem 21MC
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Operon is the functioning unit of DNA. It is a cluster of gene under the control of a single promoter. It is genetic regulatory system found in the bacteria. Operon consists of three parts:Operator, it is a segment of DNA which helps in regulating the binding. Promoter, it is a nucleotide sequence that helps in gene transcription. RNA polymerase recognizes and indicatesthe gene used for the mRNA in RNA production. Repressor: In repressor an inducer molecule will bind and give signal, and it can stimulate transcription.
