Explanation of Solution

Motivation:

Motivation is the desire to perform some activity and complete it. Motivation is not constant as it varies in different situations and at different times. Motivation can be termed as the general effort towards any goal.

Elements of motivation:

There are three elements of motivation:

Intensity:

Intensity is the perseverance with which a person tries to do something. This the most important element when it comes to motivation.

Direction:

The direction is the path at which the intensity of the motivation is channeled. A motivation with higher levels of intensity not properly channeled is useless. Hence, the motivation must be channeled in the right direction.

Persistence:

Persistence in motivation can be termed as the amount of time a person can sustain a certain level of motivation. Persistence is key as motivation must be at a certain level for a certain period of time to achieve goals and objectives.
