Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Vitamin D is synthesized in a multistep process that start from epidermis in the keratinocyte cells. The ultraviolet radiation emitted from the sun makes a conformational change of 7-dehydrocholesterol into previtamin D3. In the liver, previtamin D3 is hydroxylases, then again previtamin D3 is converted to vitamin D in the kidney.
