Determine margin of error of three surveys based on
First Survey:
According to a recent Gallup poll, about 60% of all American adults owned a cell phone at the time of the poll. The results are based on telephone interviews with a randomly selected national sample of 804 adults, 18 years and older, conducted March 30April 2, 2001. The 95% margin of error was reported to be 3.5%.
Second Survey:
In march 1, 2011 PBS results said that 69% of voters oppose congressional elimination of government funding with margin of error ± 4.5%. The total number of registered voters is 494.
Third Survey:
A recent poll reported that 62% of all college students among 625 believe there is extra-terrestrial life. The 95% margin of error for the poll was 4%.
