The number of houses of representatives is determined by the population of a state. The current
number of representatives of New Jersey is 12 while the number of representatives of
Pennsylvania is 18. Do some research and show your detailed work why these two numbers
come up. Your report needs to cover the apportionment method it uses and mathematical
calculations it performs.
In the 2010 census, the population of state A in thousands was 4,753, State B was 2,998, and State C was 4,526. Apportion 18 representative seats to these three states. Assign the seats using the Hamilton apportionment method.
The representation includes members from State A.
