Introduction:

The chloroplast is plastid organelle present in green leaves and algae. This is the site of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is a process in which sunlight is used to prepare the nutrients which is stored in the form of starch. The chloroplast contains the chlorophyll, thylakoid, grana and stroma.

Mitochondria are the power house of the cell as it is involved with the production of most of the energy or ATP molecules. Thus, the energy requirement of a cell is fulfilled by mitochondria.
