Introduction:

The color of the skin is due to the melanin pigment produced by the melanocyte cells of the epidermal layer. Other factors also contribute to the skin color. The color of the skin doesn’t depend on the number of melanocytes present, but depends on the amount of melanin produced by melanocyte.
