Summary Introduction

Introduction

Our explicit memories, or memories of things that we actively try to remember, can be measured in three ways. The first is recall memory, which refers to how well we can recall some information from our memory, like a fill-in-the-blank type of question. The second is recognition memory, which refers to how well we can pick the right answer from a list of choices, like a multiple choice test. This is how well we recognize the right answer when we see it. The third is relearning memory, or how quickly we can learn something we already learned before, but forgot over time.
