Introduction:

The tissue damage caused by burn is classified into three degrees. To estimate the amount of burn, physicians use a rule known as ‘rule of nines’. Moreover, this estimate also helps in the procedure to be used for the healing process. On the basis of the layers of skin damaged, a burn can be categorized as follows:first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree burn.
