This complaint should first be handled by empathizing and understanding the employee's concern and agreeing upon the opinion they have to share on the matter, which in this case the admin assistant voiced the reason for these symptoms is the bad air quality circulated within the buildings of the organization.
The next step is to notify the HR department about the conditions of the working environment of workers, and record this complaint in par with the complaint handling procedure followed by the organization. Further, the department in charge for environmental management systems can be notified and informed about the issues faced by employees regarding the bad air quality, which would then alarm the authorities to check the air and the pollution levels around the vicinity of the organization's buildings.
Therefore as a busy partner in a legal firm, the most affirmable steps would be to inform the relevant departments/authorities about the complaint and allow them to take action upon it.
