Hermann Ebbinghaus (1913) was the first researcher to study the effect of forgetting phenomenon. He analyzed the memory and forgetting response. It was observed that forgetting of the phenomenon was highest after learning. It was interpreted that studying for three hours was found out to be less productive as compared to studying for smaller intervals of time like 30minutes with frequent intervals.
