Introduction:

A terrestrial ecosystem refers to the type of ecosystem that is mainly found on the biomes, which are also known as beds. Six main terrestrial ecosystems are present, namely, tropical rainforest, taiga, tundra, desert, deciduous forest, and grassland. Ecosystems face a number of threats, which primarily include habitat destruction, introduction of invasive species, and overexploitation. However, the greatest threat experienced by an ecosystem comes from habitat destruction.
