Question
Chapter 5.3, Problem 2CTQ
Summary Introduction
To write:
The cycle of exposure to the cholera toxin that perpetuates the disease.
Introduction:
Cholera is a disease caused due to the infection with Vibrio cholerae bacteria. G proteins are susceptible to attack by many of the bacterial toxins including the toxin causing cholera. The effects caused due to cholera are a result of the toxin released by Vibrio cholerae into the gut. The toxin acts on a G-protein which over stimulates the adenylate cyclase.
