The cardiovascular system, along with the lymphatic system, is termed as the circulatory system. The blood is transported and circulated to every cell of the body with the help of arteries, veins, and capillaries. These blood vessels carry the blood to and from the heart. The blood vessels also help in the gaseous exchange and supply nutrients to the different tissues and organs of the body.
