Explanation of Solution

Menstruation is the monthly bleeding in women. During the end of the menstrual cycle, the level of follicle-stimulating hormone exceeds the level of luteinizing hormone. The menstrual cycle starts with bleeding and considers as day 1, and the cycle ends just before the beginning of the next menstrual cycle.

The menstrual cycle is of around 28 to 36 days. The menstrual cycle is controlled by hormones that are produced by pituitary glands such as luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. These hormones further stimulate the production of progesterone and estrogen. Approximately around 27-28 and 1-2 in 28 days cycle, the level of follicle-stimulating hormone ishigher than the luteinizing hormone.
