Summary Introduction

To describe: The way in which the path of light stimulus from where it enters the vertebrate eye to its transmission as an action potential through the optic nerve.

Introduction: The eye is the sensory organ responsible for vision. In humans, it is slightly asymmetrical and has several structures like sclera, cornea, conjunctivitis, pupil, iris, retina, and a convex lens. The coordinated function of all these structures is essential for proper functioning of the eye. Optic nerves are present at the retina that is responsible for conducting nerve impulses from and to the eyes.
