If a student comes to you with signs of child abuse or neglect and you want to have visual evidence, you should: A. Take pictures with your mobile phone.  B. Wait for ACS to arrive to take pictures.  C. Ask an administrator to take pictures with the school's designated camera.

Consider a time in your practicum or work setting in which a client asked you to share information about yourself.  What did they ask you to share? How did you respond? Using the NASW Code of Ethics, do you think your response was in-line with best practice guidelines? What might you do differently if you could re-do the situation? If the communication is therapeutic, write “therapeutic” and indicate the therapeutic technique being used.  If the communication is non-therapeutic, indicate the non-therapeutic communication technique that is used and then REWRITE the dialogue to make it therapeutic. A patient angrily complains that the nursing staff never comes when he presses the call bell. The charge nurse tells him “This is a very busy floor.  The nurses will come in as soon as they can – patients with emergencies are more important and need to be seen first.”
