Introduction

To compare two societies on anomie, I would look at the goals and means presented by each society. I would look at the main goal of each society and the resources available to legitimately achieve it. Statistical indicators examined would include incarceration rate sorted by demographics to determine whether some groups are jailed in rates out of proportion to their population. Themes in popular music may indicate qualitative indicators.
