  • Phishing message asks the user to reply with their confidential information or they can be in the form of pop-ups that collect user’s information.

Protecting against the phishing scams:

  • Phishing website is the website that looks similar to the original website.
  • User enters their personal information such as username and password in the phished website, which helps in collecting personal and financial information from legitimate users.
  • The user should not reply with their personal and financial data to those who are requesting them for online verification through email message.
  • Make sure not to click or tap any links through email, even if you get an email from a known person. Instead, type the link manually into the web address bar.
