Routing:
- Routing is the process of determining the path or route through the network from source computer to the destination computer for sending a message.
- Some networks have many possible paths from one computer to another computer.
- Some other networks have only one logical path from source computer to the destination computer.

- Every router has a routing table which is used to specify how the message has to travel from one computer to another computer over the network.
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP):
- TCP is a protocol used in transport layer of internet model.
- It is used to deliver the packets to its destination.
- It breaks the large message into smaller packets as it is easier to process and transmit the smaller packets.
- It ensures the reliable delivery of packets.
- It connects the data link layer and application layer.
Internet Protocol (IP):
- IP is a protocol used in network layer of internet model.
- It is used to route the packet through an optimal path in a network.
- IP performs addressing to find the next computer in an optimal path.
