The major cavities of the human system.
Introduction:
The major cavities of the human system include the ventral cavity and dorsal cavity. The ventral cavity develops further to form the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities. The diaphragm separates the abdominal cavity from the thoracic cavity. The organs heart and lungs are placed inside the thoracic cavity. The organs like stomach, pancreas, liver and gall bladder are in the abdominal cavity. The dorsal cavity includes the cranial cavity and vertebral canal. The brain is present inside the cranial cavity and vertebral column contains the spinal cord.
