Summary Introduction

To determine: The way in which stereocilia are different from cilia.

Introduction: There are various mechanoreceptors present in skin which helps in detection of physical stimuli. There are other mechanoreceptors such as stereocilia which detect physical stimuli and send an action potential to the brain which results in a response to the physical stimuli.
