(a).

Summary Introduction

To describe:

Which of the two animals produce more nitrogenous waste.

Introduction:

Based on the temperature of the body, the animals are primarily classified into two types namely warm-blooded animals and cold-blooded animals. Since this classification provides less amount of information, it is further classified into three types based on the mechanism of body heat regulation. The three categories are heterotherms, poikilotherms and homeotherms, endotherms and exotherms. In another way, the animals are classified into three types based on the food source. They are herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores.

(b).

Summary Introduction

To describe:

The excretory product formed in mammals and the vertebrate that produce shelled eggs and the adaptive advantages of these nitrogenous waste.

Introduction:

The nitrogenous waste is the unwanted substance that needs to be eliminated from the body. The major excretory organ is the kidney. But in some animals, other excretory organs are involved namely gills, the skin of fish, malphigian tubule of insects, nephridia of nematodes, contractile vacuoles of protozoa, and so on. The nitrogenous waste is excreted in three forms namely ammonia, urea, and uric acid.

There is a species of eagle, which lives in a tropical forest in Brazil. The alula pattern of its wings is determined by a single autosomal gene with four alleles that exhibit an unknown hierarchy of dominance. Genetic testing shows that individuals 1-1, 11-4, 11-7, III-1, and III-4 are each homozygous. How many possible genotypes among checkered eagles in the population?
