To describe: The path taken by the sound waves through the structure of the ear and also the way in which the organ of Corti functions as an auditory receptor.
Introduction: The ears in birds and mammals are highly developed for hearing. Ear have three parts: outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear. The sound waves travel from outer ear to middle ear and then the signals of hearing are transmitted to brain. Sound waves pass through many canals and membranes so as to be amplified for clear hearing and proper response.
