The eye detects light and converts it into electro-chemical impulses which are transmitted to the brain through optic nerves that result in the formation of an image on the retina which is a part of an eye. The human eye consists of iris which regulates the size of pupil, lens, cornea, ciliary muscles, and retina, where the image formation takes place.
