Introduction: Endocytosis is the process that brings macromolecules, small molecules, and large particles into the cell. During endocytosis, the cell membrane folds inwards and thereby forms a small pocket that encircles material from the external environment. The pocket invaginates deeply forming a vesicle. There are three types of endocytosis namely phagocytosis, pinocytosis, and receptor-mediated endocytosis.
