To explain: The difference between phagocytosis and pinocytosis
Introduction: Endocytosis is the process that brings macromolecules, small molecules, and large particles into the cell. During endocytosis, the cell membrane folds inwards thereby forms a small pocket that encircles material from the external environment. The pocket invaginates deeply forming a vesicle. However, this vesicle part forms the membrane and enters the interior of the cell and releases its content.
