Over billions of years, the differing environmental conditions (like early Earth atmosphere, ice age and more), evolution, continental drift, extinction and many more, have shaped the face of Earth. Thus, to survive and reproduce, different species have moved around to find suitable niches on land as well as water and adapted to the new ecological factors.
