Concept Introduction:
The enthalpy of the reaction is considered as the state function that is it depends only on the initial and the final path of the states. The reaction which is carried out in more than one step then the sum of all the steps gives the overall reaction and by adding the enthalpy change corresponding to each individual step gives thestandard reaction enthalpy. This method of finding the standard reaction enthalpy is referred as Hess’s law.
