Explanation of Solution

Interrupt:

Interrupt is the stuck with inconvenience in program. It occurs when a program encounters any violations in the code. It is triggered when some situation happened in the processing like I/O requests, arithmetic errors, arithmetic underflow or overflow, hardware malfunction, and page faults.

• When interrupt is occurred in a program, the processor stops the current execution and transfer to the interrupt handler.

Types of interrupt:

An interrupt is generally divided into two types. They are:

• Hardware interrupt
  • Maskable interrupt
  • Non-maskable interrupt
• Software interrupt

Hardware interrupt:

It is occurred on hardware part of the system like mouse, keyboard, hard drive, etc...
