Introduction:
Emotions are strong feelings that are directed towards someone or something, whereas moods are less strong feelings that simply arise without any particular event that may have triggered it.

Explanation of Solution
Emotions are much stronger that moods, emptions are also said to be caused by a particular event and would usually be followed by a specific action. This is not the case with moods, since these cause a person to go into deep thought and are not followed by any action.
Emotions can be categorized like anger, sadness, etc. but emotions are more general where there are only two perspectives, either positive or negative.
