In the insertion of ligament and tendon and intervertebral disk, a tough tissue is present predominantly that is termed as fibrocartilage. It contains Chondrocytes and cartilage ground substances which is the same as fibrous tissues. It appears yellow in color and it is highly pliable as elastic fibers with collagen are present.
