Introduction: A perennial herbaceous flower, milkweed is a plant. At the tips of upright, light green stems, it produces clusters of light purple blooms. Rhizomes and seed pods that burst to release the seeds are its primary means of propagation. On the sides of roadways, this common wildflower multiplies like crazy. Both people and some animals are poisoned by it.
