Concept Introduction:

Organisms and their environment interact with one another for recycling of elements such as water, carbon, phosphorous and nitrogen, it is termed as biogeochemical cycles. Nitrogen and phosphorous are important elements of life. The growth of algae and some other autotrophs declines due to the deficiencies of these elements, although the excess amount of these elements may lead to water pollution.
